Photo Review of Lagoon Room at Sapphire Falls Resort | Universal Orlando’s Newest Property

I’ve introduced you to Loews Sapphire Falls Resort in my recent post, so now I want to take you on a photo tour of my hotel room.  At 321 square feet the Lagoon view room, my choice for this stay, was very roomy.  The rooms will feature either 2 Queen Beds or a King Bed and pull-out sofa and separate bath and vanity areas for convenience.  Queen rooms can accommodate up to 5 guests, with the 5th needing a rollaway bed.  The King room will sleep 4 persons.

Let’s take a look at the room.  Our room featured 2 Queen beds.  On first glance the color palette is very calming, full of various shades of blue.  Really putting you into the island theme.  I did find the choice of white bed linens interesting…I wonder how quickly those will need to be replaced.  The beds are comfy and we got a good night’s sleep.

As mentioned, there are separate vanity and bath areas to allow for multiple people to get ready at once.  I was pleased to find the upscale show style in this resort, especially since it is not considered one the of the “Premium” resorts like the Hard Rock or Portofino Bay.  I love what they did with the mirror, there are 3 colors on it, yellow, blue and white and they just spray painted different sections.  Note that the door to the bath area is a sliding door which allows for a little extra space.

Note the pattern on the tiles, I thought that was a unique touch.  I will say that it seemed as if the bathroom area was missing something…there was no artwork on the walls, it was all white.  I’m wondering if that was their intent or if there are still things to be added to the rooms since the resort just opened recently.  Moving on in the room you’ll find a Keurig with K-cups for coffee or tea.  Having this in the room is one of the little things that I love about Universal Orlando’s upscale resorts…it’s the little touches that make it nicer.

Finally, who can resist this view?  I loved looking out my window to see the Lagoon below and watching the water taxis come and go.  The resort across the way is the Royal Pacific and if I looked to the left I could see CityWalk and the towers of Dr. Doom in Islands of Adventure.  Definitely worth the upgrade to a room with this view.

I hope you enjoyed this quick peek at the room I stayed in.  Coming soon I’m going to talk about Strong Water Tavern and what you can expect at this rum bar.  Curious about what else this resort or other’s at Universal Orlando have to offer?  Drop me an email and we can chat….Carrie@MustLoveTravel.com.
