5 Different Ways to Approach Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party | The Attraction Junkie

“It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year” as the song would proclaim at The Walt Disney World Resort in Florida and The Disneyland Resort in California.  The parks are alive with the magic and decorations of the holiday season for visitors, special holiday treats abound and Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party is in full swing.

I recently attended the party and got to thinking that are there different ways to approach the party, depending on what experience you want.  I wonder, can you think of any that I may have missed?

  1. The Attraction Junkie
  2. The Paparazzi
  3. The Jolly Holiday Elf
  4. The Grazer
  5. The Merchandiser

Let’s start with the Attraction Junkie…admit it, you’re just here for the rides.  With this being a separately ticketed event, you banking on less crowds and the chance to score low wait times on your favorite mountain ranges (Space Mountain, Splash Mountain and Big Thunder Mountain, throwing in the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train as well).  Your strategy?  Start in Tomorrowland and work your way around the park in a counter clockwise fashion; taking full advantage of people watching the parades and shows to get on the most popular rides.  Tip: be sure to plan where you will be during the parade so you don’t get caught waiting because you can’t get from one area to the other.

Blogger, Traveler, Wife, Runner….I’m known as many different things.  But I’m here to be your Travel Professional.  Ever since I was a little girl I had an interest in travel. I would collect the postcards books that my grandparents brought back to me from their travels and I kept them in a special box that I loved to pull out and flip through. As I traveled with my family I started collecting postcards on my own and pictures, maps, and other mementos of my travels.

Believe it or not, I still have those postcards and every once in awhile I’ll bring them out and flip through smiling at the memories they bring back. Although I might not collect postcards anymore I collect photos, stories and information on my travels. I love to soak up a destination, reveling in the local food life. I absolutely love sharing my travel stories, foodie moments and special encounters.
