Jingle Bell, Jingle Bam Dessert Party at Disney’s Hollywood Studios

As the holidays continue at The Walt Disney World Resort the opportunities for making merry are numerous. One of those opportunities is the Jingle Bell, Jingle Bam Dessert Party at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. For fans of Prep and Landing you’ll encounter the familiar characters of Lenny, McGee and Wayne.

The dessert party is offered select nights and is an event that requires advance reservations and payment. The dessert party offers you a chance to feast on sweet and savory snacks, adult beverages, photo opportunities with Santa Goofy and then preferred viewing for both the Disney Movie Magic (a tribute to live action films) and Jingle Bell, Jingle Bam nighttime shows.

You’ll check in by the Chinese Theater and be welcomed with an adult beverage (if you are of age) or Elf Juice for those under 21. You are assigned a table and that table has a centerpiece that tells you when it’s your turn to visit with Santa Goofy.

Savory offerings include hummus, spinach dip, flatbread, chips, pretzels and beer cheese dip. For the sweeter side of things you’ll find a nitro station serving up chocolate mousse with either strawberry or salted caramel sauce, a miniature Yule log cake, chocolate dip with strawberries, marshmallows, or pound cakes. There is also pumpkin spice bread pudding or peppermint brownies. I have a confession, the peppermint brownies are to die for….soft, chocolate, chewy brownies with a hint of peppermint flavor. Other treats include cupcakes and miny treats.

Add to that they were able to assist my husband with his food allergy, it made for a splendid evening. We’ve always been a little hesitant to attend a dessert party because many times he is unable to enjoy the offerings. As good as Disney is with the restaurants, we were unsure about the parties. This was something I had been looking forward to for awhile, so we were pleasantly surprised when one of the chefs brought out a treat bag for Kevin and then proceeded to take the time to go through the food items, answer questions and tell him what he could have.

Our time with Santa Goofy was hilarious, we joked around via hand signals and our answers about our upcoming anniversary. As you can see from our photos high jinks, laughs and hugs ensued.

Blogger, Traveler, Wife, Runner….I’m known as many different things.  But I’m here to be your Travel Professional.  Ever since I was a little girl I had an interest in travel. I would collect the postcards books that my grandparents brought back to me from their travels and I kept them in a special box that I loved to pull out and flip through. As I traveled with my family I started collecting postcards on my own and pictures, maps, and other mementos of my travels.

Believe it or not, I still have those postcards and every once in awhile I’ll bring them out and flip through smiling at the memories they bring back. Although I might not collect postcards anymore I collect photos, stories and information on my travels. I love to soak up a destination, reveling in the local food life. I absolutely love sharing my travel stories, foodie moments and special encounters.
